It’s that time of year when winter may not be through with us, but we’re more than through with winter! And ready to move onto some fresh spring decor.
I’m so excited to be joining some of my favourite bloggers for this breath of fresh air spring home tour. Be sure to visit the bottom of this post for links to all their beautiful homes. I hope you’ll be inspired to do a little spring decorating of your own.

Front Hall
For spring, I’ve decorated the front hall and living room in shades of white, beige, pink and green. I included the burlap wreath and bag in the same material to add warmth and a hint of the gardening season to come. A floral print pillow and scarf, and the faux flowers, add some colour and cheer after the long grey winter months.
Living Room
I like my living room bright, breezy and calm throughout the year, but spring seems to be a good time to inject some pretty pastels. To do this, I used pink pillows and blankets, and lovely blue-green glass accessories.
We’re still experiencing subzero temperatures outdoors, so I included some cozy elements such as the cotton stems, chenille pompom blanket, and faux fur throw on the piano bench. I think they mix in pretty well with the more spring-like elements.
Dining Room
Our dining room is open to our family room, so I continued with the pastel accents. I added some Easter décor here including the sweet bird’s nests, a metal basket of hand-painted faux eggs, and a cheerful Easter wreath.
Our coffee bar is one of my favourite spots in our home to decorate and I added my Rae Dunn Easter canisters and mug here. It’s so easy to change up this space each season. The olive branches and “Fresh Cut Flowers” pillow complete the spring look here. I’m planning to add a spring bucket list to my DIY chalkboard doors in the next couple of weeks.
Family Room
I recently re-decorated our family room, purchasing a new couch and side table and switching out the rug and accessories. This room is our main family space for hanging out, playing games, and watching TV. It’s also a little more modern than the other spaces in our home. For spring and summer I decided to use a some elements that have a beachy feel. I used soft blues and greys, and added ocean-inspired artwork. In addition to this, I added some floral stems to give the space a fresh, spring look.
Breakfast Area/Kitchen
I generally don’t change our kitchen décor for the seasons other than adding fresh flowers or a few small accessories. I added a magnolia wreath above the hood fan for a touch of greenery and used dishes in shades of white and robin’s egg blue.
Master Bedroom
I usually decorate with green accents in our bedroom to usher in spring, but this year I decided to go with shades of blue for the accent pillows. I also added some framed botanical herb prints and potted plants to the side tables.
Our reading nook in the bedroom is dressed for spring with a couple of floral pillows and a pretty demijohn filled with olive stems. And my straw hat is here because I just returned from a vacation to Florida last night!
