I’m so excited to be sharing our holiday home tour. This is because Christmas is one of my favourite times of year to decorate our home and I love the magic of the holiday season. It’s when hopes and dreams run high and families gather together to create special moments and make memories. Our homes are the backdrop to all of this, and we can do as little or as much holiday decorating as we can manage. Maybe it’s only decorating one shared space in the home or maybe it’s adding special touches throughout. So, I’m welcoming you into my home for this holiday home tour and I hope you find some inspiration for your own home. Throughout my home I’m sharing my blend of neutral Christmas décor I’ve collected over the years, my favourite new finds, and budget-friendly simple DIY ideas.
Thank you so much if you are joining me from Chandeliers and Champagne. When you reach the end of this post, please head over to the other talented home tour participants as I know you’ll see some beautiful homes! Thank you to Mansa from This is Simplicite for organizing this holiday home tour.
Exterior
The exterior of our home is decked out with greenery and metal accents. Please see my post Farmhouse Christmas Front Porch Décor in 20 Minutes for a full description of how I created this look. My favourite new find for this space is the door mat from Coco & Bass.

Front Hall
Our front hall is tiny, but I added a few festive touches, including the beautiful wood sign from Gracie Lou Designs, the ceramic doves (representing peace), the stocking and bells, and the cute little tree in a galvanized bucket.

Just off our front hall is this little space at the bottom of our main staircase. We just purchased this table from Urban Barn and I decorated this area with a greenery garland, holiday candles, and the beautiful Christmas countdown sign from Harper Grayce. I recently wrote a post, Countdown to Christmas- 25 family activities for December, where I share some of my favourite holiday activities. In our home, we have a new activity each day, and my boys love it!

Living Room
We tend to spend even more time in our living room during the holiday season because we just want to be near the tree! Our living room is decorated in neutral shades of white, cream, grey, and gold. The rug was the inspiration piece for the space and I used lots of layers of textiles in the space. To do so, I included layered rugs, a blanket ladder stocked with cozy blankets, and lots of pillows.

The Tree
Our tree is a 9 foot King of Christmas flocked tree that I decorated with white, mercury glass, and gold ornaments. I recently shared how I decorated this tree in my post 5 Easy Steps to a Gorgeous Christmas Tree.

I used some pretty gold and cream gift boxes that I found at Homesense for under the tree.

The Piano
I painted our piano nearly two years ago using Fusion Mineral Paint because it was orange (see the post here)! I love how the creamy white piano works so well with more white, wood tones, and mercury glass. Additionally, I added a set of three whitewashed candles and a set of three mercury glass trees to the piano top. Then I added a cozy, faux fur throw on top of the piano bench.

Snowflake Wall
I added these dollar store snowflakes (painted white with Fusion mineral paint) on either side of the clock to add a wintry touch. It’s a great way to add texture and interest when using a neutral palette.

Dining Room
In the dining room, I added lots of greenery and some touches of grey and gold. The simple centerpiece consists of a handmade box filled with pinecone decorative accents, fresh cedar, and some mercury glass and mint green glass ball ornaments. I used a pretty pinstripe grey tablecloth and simple white plates on galvanized metal chargers.

Chairs
I made these cedar chair swags very inexpensively to add an extra detail to each chair. As a result, this neutral space has some interesting details and character.

Console Table and Open Shelves
On the console table, I displayed my collection of vintage brass candlesticks and my tiered tray. The open shelves display my collection of cake stands and some glass jars filled with gold ornaments and the beautiful Gather sign from KT Inspired Home tops off this vignette.

Kitchen and Breakfast Area
I only added a few simple touches in the kitchen. I made this magnolia wreath recently and here I adorn it with a pretty red and cream ribbon. Additionally, I added a little stand with a mini tree and holiday candle.

The eating area has a DIY centerpiece box filled with greenery and faux berries. The table decor is simple and casual. We have a little tree in our kitchen decorated with pinecones and mostly homemade ornaments.

Family Room
Our family room has a few festive touches including the greenery on the tray, the fireplace garland, and the stockings hung by the fireplace. I added lots of pillows and blankets and the beautiful Winter sign by Kendrick Home.

Just gorgeous! I am always impressed at how you find something festive and elegant for every corner, and yet your decor never feels cluttered or overwhelming. You make it seem so effortless, even though I know you give it a lot of thought!
Whenever you re-theme your home for a holiday or season, I have to admit one thing I always wonder about is where you store the off-season items. Do you have sorted, labelled bins in your basement? Do you have an equally gorgeous storage room somewhere where everything is laid out on shelves, so you can wander for inspiration? Do you sort things by type (all pillows here, all candles over here) and then pick a few things from each area? Perhaps this would make an interesting future blog post!
Thank you Lynn for your kind comments. The storage situation is not so glamorous, but I do have shelves in the basement that are somewhat organized. That’s a great idea for a post if I could make my storage a little prettier!
