In the area where we live, it’s very common for residents to have the same wreath on display throughout the year or to display a wreath only at Christmas. In contrast, I’m a little out of the ordinary as I have a winter wreath, Easter wreath, spring wreath, summer wreath, fall wreath, pumpkin wreath, and a Christmas wreath. I’m writing this post for anyone looking for a wreath for all seasons that can be left up all year except for those times when you may want to display a holiday or speciality wreath. Additionally, this all-season wreath can be changed just by adding a festive ribbon or bow on top. In this post, How To Make An All-Season Wreath, I share the materials and steps needed to make this wreath in less than an hour.
All the supplies are readily available at craft stores or online. Furthermore, the tools required are basic tools that you likely already have in your household toolbox.

Basic Supplies
- 20″ grapevine wreath (from Michaels)
- Green metal wire for attaching stems (from Michaels)
- Silver metal wire if you wish to attach a loop on the back (from Michaels)
- Wire cutters and pliers (from Apollo Tools)
Stems
- Two branches of faux mini green leaves (from Michaels)
- One branch of silver dollar eucalyptus, cut into two pieces about 12″ long, faux (this is what I used) or preserved
- Faux baby’s breath stem, cut into four small pieces (from Michaels)
- A few small faux pine needle stems (from Michaels)
- Three small faux succulents or similar plants, approximately 3-4″ in diameter (from Michaels)
How To Make An All-Season Wreath
- Gather all your supplies on a craft table or on the floor
- Trim any wild-looking branches from the grapevine wreath form using your wire cutters
- Place the mini leaf branches on the wreath form, leaving a 2-3″ gap between the pieces
- Gently bend the stems to follow the curve of the wreath form
- Secure in two places with the green metal wire
- Add the two pieces of eucalyptus on top of the mini leaf stems, securing in place with green metal wire
- Add and secure the baby’s breath stems on top of the mini leaves and eucalyptus stems
- Place and attach the pine branches in the middle area of the wreath
- Place the three succulents (or alternatives) in the middle area of the wreath
- Carefully secure with metal wire
- If any of the stems are not oriented to your liking, add additional pieces of metal wire
- If desired, add a loop of silver metal wire to the back of the wreath for hanging
Styling The All-Season Wreath
Of course, this wreath can be displayed on your front door as a welcoming sight to visitors. However, it looks just as pretty on a front hall coat hook or on an interior door. There are many other creative ways to style wreaths on fireplace mantles, vintage window panes, or on a kitchen hood fan. Get creative and I’m sure you’ll find a great place you hadn’t thought of before.
My all-season wreath is hanging in our front hall right now with a few other simple accessories including a fern, a string of pretty white beads, a “home” sign, and some beautiful wooden mini vases. And let’s not forget the chair! If you like this chair, you can read about how I transformed this interesting thrift store find in my post, Easy Thrifted Chair Makeover.
For fall I would add a big rust-coloured satin ribbon. And wouldn’t it be perfect at Christmas with a big velvet bow on top in your favourite Christmas colour?
Summary
Thank you for reading about how to make an all-season wreath which can be completed in under an hour even if you are inexperienced at wreath making. Additionally, the supplies can be inexpensively obtained from your local craft store or online. I hope you find it rewarding to make your own wreath that can be displayed throughout the year!
