Most of the items featured in this post are not expensive, with the majority being under $40. There are a couple of splurges, the ice cream maker and the cast iron pot, but they are still under $180. Most moms just want the day to be enjoyable with everyone getting along and a fun or memorable activity to share with loved ones. A thoughtful gift is a nice bonus.

Fashion
Don’t all moms want that special accessory to complete their look and add a touch of elegance? I’ve included a few affordable accessories in this category that work well if you’re on a budget yet still want to give something special. Gifts that can be worn are meaningful because they remind the wearer of the special person who shared the gift with them. A pretty new scarf for spring and summer in shades of pink and blue is a great way to add a touch of colour to a neutral outfit. I adore this paperclip letter initial necklace in gold as it adds a sweet touch to any outfit. And finally, the pretty purse comes in every colour you can imagine, so you can choose one in your mom’s favourite colour.
Cooking
If your mom is an avid cook or foodie, then I have some of the best items for you. This ice cream maker is a little luxury that turns fruit into delicious ice cream. Can’t you just imagine the fun of making and eating these treats with your mom? Next, a cast iron pot in a pristine white colour is a decorative and functional addition to any kitchen. I have a similar cast iron pot and use it for everything from baking my favourite crusty bread to soups and stews. And these pretty aprons are very affordable and a kitchen essential.
Cocktail Hour
After your mom has spent some time in the kitchen, I think she deserves a fanciful drink. These items can be used to prepare non-alcoholic drinks or ones that contain alcohol. My favourite non-alcoholic spirit brand is Ritual Zero Proof and would make a great addition to one of these gifts. If your mom will be making margaritas, then I highly recommend these adorable cactus glasses. Aren’t they fun? And the perfect glass rimmer comes ready-made by Creative Mixology. Finally, give mom the most fun cocktail book on the market, Fancy AF Cocktails. I own this book and it is such a joy to read and look at the gorgeous photos. The recipes range from simple and classic to pretty fancy.
Sleepy Time
Not every mom will admit this, but most of us don’t get enough quality sleep. Every mom could use a little help to get the rest and rejuvenation needed to face the day. The products in this category include those that I personally use to create a calming personal bedtime routine conducive to getting a good night’s sleep. Why not start with a silk eye mask? This mask is great for getting in a daytime nap or when travelling. A pretty aromatherapy diffuser will set the tone for relaxation before bed. I also use mine during meditation and yoga. Finally, the lavender hot pad is a great way to induce relaxation with its soothing aroma. Plus, it warms the bed in colder months and provides relief for sore or aching muscles. I use one on my shoulders and upper back to instantly relieve tension.
We’re almost halfway through the list of 27 Mother’s Day Gifts Mom Will Love. Have you found something that caught your eye yet? If not, keep reading, as I have more suggestions for the mom who loves travel, home decor, reading, gardening, and family fun.
Travel
One of the things I think moms daydream about is travel. When my kids were little, I dreamt of a time when we could all more easily travel as a family. A gift to inspire travel or a practical travel item makes a great gift for any mom. A pretty and affordable travel bag in a fresh shade makes a lovely gift. It can be gifted as a stand-alone item or filled with travel-related treasures.
I recently gave The Travel Book to my travel-loving son and ended up spending hours perusing the pages with one of my other sons. We were mesmerized by the beautiful images of all the different countries and inspired to add some additional destinations to our travel bucket list. I also recently purchased a passport wallet for our family’s upcoming Europe trip and I wanted one that had ample space to store all five of our passports as well as airline boarding tickets.
Home Decor
As a mom and home decor blogger, I feel especially qualified to make recommendations here. And it was a challenge to limit the included items to only three. I chose items that I think most moms would appreciate, even those that aren’t as deep into home decor as I and many of my readers are. Pillows and blankets are the easiest and more affordable way to freshen up the decor without lifting a paintbrush. Blankets and pillows are also functional and practical and you can choose the colour and style to suit the gift recipient. I think that neutral pillows with lovely handcrafted details make a great gift. Cable knit blankets lend a handmade quality to a space, and every room looks better with a pretty vase and fresh flowers.
Gardening
For the mom who loves to spend time in the garden or who cares for house plant babies, these selections are for you. For all plant mamas, a whimsical pillow is a perfect gift for mom to place on her reading chair or porch swing. A pretty plant pot with a handpainted look is a great gift for moms who care for houseplants or who have a spot outdoors for some small pots. The gardening tool set is a great gift if your mom is just getting started with gardening or for a mom with limited garden tools.
Reading
I have several friends whose dream day would involve reading, coffee or tea, and more reading. I’m an avid reader myself, but even when I wasn’t reading as much as I would have liked, I enjoyed getting books as gifts and having my own miniature library. Daisy Jones & the Six, now popularized by the Amazon Prime series, is a fabulous book by one of my favourite authors. You could also give your mom some wall art with a book-themed quote to display near her favourite reading spot. And a book journal is a fabulous gift for any reader or book club member. It’s definitely something I would enjoy using myself.
Family Activities
And finally, for the mom who is always looking for fun ways to enjoy family time, here are some suggestions. A picnic basket means fun days at the park or beach enjoying a casual meal of watermelon and sandwiches. This basket has vintage charm and all the necessities for a picnic for four. You can also find larger sets for families of 5 or more.
Next, a board game is a great way to bring family together and create lasting memories. For a unique game mom likely doesn’t already own, why not try Love Letter. It’s a fun and easy-to-learn game that is small and portable, so perfect to bring on a trip or picnic. You can check out my post, Our Favourite Family Board Games, here for many more ideas. Finally, a bocce set makes a great gift for a mom who likes outdoor family activities that are a little sporty. Our family played bocce ball all of last summer and we loved it.
