Sleep has always been a bit of a struggle for me, with allergies and asthma, back issues, and overactive thoughts. I’ve developed some good habits in the past couple of years that have helped with my overactive and anxious thoughts at bedtime. This has really improved my ability to fall asleep quickly at night. But up until a few months ago, I still woke up every morning with an aching and stiff back and annoying allergy symptoms. This is why I approached Endy about trying one of their mattresses. I had heard only good things and thought there was a real chance my sleep could improve. I’m happy to say that it did! In this post, My 100-Night Endy Mattress Review, I share my sleep tips and tricks and provide an honest review of our new Endy mattress after 100 nights of use.
*Disclosure: I received an Endy mattress in exchange for this review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I have taken a holistic approach to sleep. With the number of sleep issues I had, there really wasn’t an all-encompassing solution. I want to share what I’ve learned during my better sleep journey.
Why An Endy Mattress?
After making several changes to my bedtime routine and working to reduce allergens in the bedroom, I was still suffering from allergy symptoms and my back issues hadn’t improved either. I knew it was time for a new mattress and I carefully researched all the options. I decided on Endy for several reasons. Firstly, I did some research to find a comfortable yet supportive mattress and I kept hearing about Endy. Their mattresses have an open-cell, breathable top layer for comfort and a durable, high-density support foam layer to provide back support.
Secondly, I wanted a quality mattress that is environmentally friendly and does not off-gas toxins. I found that Endy mattresses have a Greenguard Gold certification, which guarantees extremely low levels of chemical emissions and harmful pollutants after third-party testing. Their mattresses are also Cert PUR-US, which means they are safe from VOC’s, formaldehyde, and phthalates.
Thirdly, I wanted to buy from a Canadian company that offers free and convenient shipping. Endy mattresses and made in Canada and ship free to all Canadian provinces.
Finally, I wanted a mattress with great style. Endy mattresses look fresh and modern with their crisp white and grey covers. The beautiful appearance was the icing on the cake and I made up my mind.

Ordering Process
The ordering process was as easy as could be. I went to ca.endy.com and selected my mattress size and delivery information. There are options to purchase pillows and mattress covers also. Endy frequently has special offers.
Delivery And Set-Up
The mattress was delivered on schedule to our front door. Endy mattresses come compacted in a box that is a manageable size and weight. My 15-year-old son helped me carry the mattress box up the stairs to the Master Bedroom. To set it up, I opened the cardboard box and unfolded the mattress, placing it on our existing box spring (you can also place the mattress on a wooden bed frame or slats). I opened the plastic covering and the mattress expanded over a 1-minute period to its proper size. It was a very easy process that took about 10-minutes.
The First Night
As soon as the mattress arrived, I lay back on the bed and just marvelled at the comfort. I felt like every inch of my back was properly supported, but I also felt the softness and comfort of the top layer. I couldn’t wait to go to bed that first night! On the first night, I noticed an immediate improvement in my sleep. I slept more continuously and woke up feeling refreshed with none of the back pain I had gotten used to with our previous mattress.
What I Noticed Over Time
With time, I realized that my first night of great sleep on the new mattress was just the beginning. I continued to have a restful and comfortable sleep every night. And, after about a week, I noticed a lessening of my allergy symptoms in the morning. I have my mattress covered with an additional dust mite cover to protect it, and myself, from dust mites.
Commonly Asked Questions
I have shared our new Endy mattress experience on Instagram and with friends and I always get the same questions. So, here they are:
Is the Endy mattress comfortable? Yes, I found it to be extremely comfortable. Keep in mind that it’s not soft like a waterbed or feather pillow because it offers the necessary support for back health.
Is the mattress firm or soft? It’s a medium-firm mattress, offering a versatile feel for a wide variety of sleepers.
Can I try out the Endy mattress in a store? Endy is an online mattress provider. They offer a 100-night trial so you can try the mattress in your home to ensure that their mattress is right for you.
Do they also sell box springs? No, you can place your new Endy mattress directly on a wood bed platform, slats, or an existing box spring.
How does the price compare to other mattresses? I think their prices are competitive and an excellent value for the quality mattress you will receive.
Additional Ways To Improve Sleep
Sleep Hygiene
“Sleep hygiene” is a term that has been used often in recent years. It refers to the steps you can take to ensure your body, mind, and your bedroom are prepared for sleep. Those steps we take to prepare our toddlers and young children for sleep are some of the steps that adults can take too. Firstly, it’s best to create a bedroom space that is calming and serene, free of distractions like a television or workspace. I try to keep our bedroom tidy and free of clutter (the closet is another story!). Room darkening shades or drapery also help by keeping the light level low enough to fall asleep.
Secondly, it helps to create a comforting environment with comfortable mattress, pillows, and bedding. A soothing environment may also include comfort items like a white noise machine or fan, essential oil diffuser, or books. I cannot stress how important a quality mattress is. Our Endy mattress has drastically changed the quality of my sleep.
Thirdly, a consistent bedtime routine and time is a key component to falling asleep. It’s recommended to stop watching television and using devices with screens at least an hour before bedtime. It’s also not recommended to take part in strenuous exercise or to drink caffeinated beverages or alcohol before bedtime. A good bedtime routine might include taking a bath, listening to music, doing a gentle yoga routine, meditation, or reading a book.
Extra Precautions If You Have Environmental Allergies
Firstly, it’s important to be seen by a doctor or allergy specialist if you suspect you have environmental allergies. Specialists can recommend allergy shots, medication, and environmental changes and practices. If you have pollen allergies, then it’s generally recommended to keep windows closed. If you have dust mite allergies, then you can take steps to reduce dust mites in the home. Replace old mattresses and make sure that you use a dust mite blocking mattress cover. Similar covers can be purchased for pillows and duvet covers too. Bedding should be washed weekly in hot water. Frequently dusting and vacuuming will keep dust mites at bay.
If allergies are persistent, it’s worth considering replacing carpet with hard surface flooring. Air purifiers can also help to reduce allergens in the air. I have an allergy to pollen and dust mites, so I take all the precautions I can. We do have carpet in the bedroom, but I vacuum twice weekly and steam clean regularly.
My Bedtime Routine
Everyone is different, but I have found the routine that works for me. Starting about one hour before bedtime (I do vary the time slightly from night to night), I prepare for bed, turn on my essential oil diffuser, and do a twenty-minute relaxing yoga routine. It consists mostly of stretches and sitting and lying down poses. Some evenings I also do a ten-minute meditation. I use apps for yoga and meditation. Then I turn off my diffuser and turn on my fan/air purifier. I find the gentle flow of air from the fan helps with breathing throughout the night, plus it provides just the right amount of white noise to help me fall asleep and stay asleep. I’m a light sleeper, so the noise helps to drown out any little household noises that might normally wake me up.
I don’t drink caffeinated beverages past noon, and I don’t drink alcohol at all because I find it interferes with my sleep. I turn off notifications on my phone and generally don’t use my phone once I’m in bed. Additionally, I always read before bed, and I use a combination of e-books and good old fashioned paper books. I like using my e-reader because I can have the lights out in the bedroom and tend to fall asleep quicker that way. Usually, I read for five to twenty minutes before drifting off.
