Do you like handmade decor? Handmade is my favourite kind of decor which is why I own an Etsy shop and love going to craft shows and shopping on Etsy whenever I can. I think that handmade items add a special, handcrafted look to the home. This is especially true when the handmade items are made in small batches, producing unique items that aren’t mass-produced. Many Etsy shops sell one-of-a-kind items and custom-designed work. Handmade items are often more environmentally friendly, especially if you can purchase them locally. In this post, My New Fall Etsy Shop Decor, I’m showing you all my brand new home decor creations and how I’ve styled them in my own home.
What Is Etsy?
In case you haven’t heard of Etsy, it’s a massive online marketplace featuring handmade and vintage items. If you can envision it, you can probably find it on Etsy. In fact, many Etsy sellers will happily do custom work to create whatever it is you have imagined. Etsy is one of my favourite places to shop for home décor, clothing, and digital products such as printable invitations and artwork, and to find gifts for birthdays and Christmas. You may even get to know the person behind the shop. I have made several friends through purchases I made through Etsy.
Etsy Shop Launches
The two biggest launches of the year for my Etsy shop are fall and Christmas. One of the benefits of having my own business is that I can choose the magnitude of each launch depending on many factors in my life. Last year I didn’t do a fall launch as I was awaiting surgery and then needed time to recover. If you want to see my fall launch from 2020, you can check that out here. In 2021, I renamed my old Etsy shop, Willow Bloom Wreaths, to Willow Bloom Market to reflect my evolving product lineup of a wider scope of home decor items. I still sell wreaths, but have branched out to include more textiles, including table runners, fabric pumpkins and ornaments, macrame, and banners.

Fabric Pumpkins
I put the most effort into my fabric pumpkins this season, releasing five new colours in three different sizes. The largest size is only available in person through local craft shows. Four of the new fabrics are pretty cotton prints, in the following colours/prints: taupe beige, muted orange, plaid, and burgundy plum made with 100% cotton. I also created 100% natural linen pumpkins made from a high-quality thick lustrous linen fabric.
This is my fourth year making these fabric pumpkins and they continue to be one of my most popular items. I still carry the fabric pumpkins from previous years, so I now offer pumpkins in 18 different fabric options! If you want to make your own fabric pumpkins, you can read my tutorial here.
Most of my pumpkins mix and match beautifully together. You can see a few examples of different combinations below.
One of my customers ordered this assortment of pumpkins in 7 different coordinating fabrics. I think they look really cute together.
How I styled the fabric pumpkins
There are so many ways to style these little pumpkins, from placing them in a basket on a table to arranging them in an artful table centerpiece. Here I filled a cute bushel basket with solid linen and taupe patterned pumpkins.
This year I made some decorative wooden centerpiece boxes and filled them with pumpkins and florals.
Wreaths
I created two new wreath designs this fall to coordinate with my fall decor scheme of warm neutrals. The first wreath is a handcrafted Celtic knot wreath made from natural manila rope with a small bouquet of fall flowers attached. The flowers are removable so the rope wreath can also be displayed in its simplest form or you can decorate it with Christmas or spring flowers as the seasons change. I like the modern, spare aesthetic of this wreath.
The second wreath is a white sunflower wreath with a variety of greenery and florals. It’s a larger wreath that is suitable for displaying on the front door. Note- this wreath is currently sold out.
How I styled my wreath
I’m displaying the white sunflower wreath on our front door. I think it coordinates nicely with the white fall mums and pumpkins I’ve used on the porch. You can see the full fall porch reveal here.
Custom Colour Macrame
I have two macrame designs that can be purchased through my Etsy shop. The first is a set of three macrame leaves, with several colour options for the middle and side leaves. The second design is a pair of macrame feathers- one solid and one colour blocked. You can get the directions for the two-feather macrame here. This year I made some macrame on Great Lakes driftwood (local sales only) for a coastal boho look.
Macrame Kits
If you want to make your own feather macrame wall hanging but don’t want to have to purchase the materials individually, I have kits available too. The easy-to-follow instructions will allow you to make this pretty wall hanging in about an hour. They are a great activity to do with friends or teenagers.
Come Visit Me!
I continue to sell my burlap banners, bead garlands, and table runners in my Etsy shop. And for local customers, I sell handmade wooden blanket ladders, wooden table centerpiece boxes, and larger-sized fabric pumpkins. I will be at two local craft shows this fall:
Cheerfully Made Fall Market, Bell Sensplex, September 24 and 25, 2022
All Saints Craft Fair, 5115 Kanata Avenue, November 5, 2022
Summary
What do you think of my new fall Etsy shop decor? What is your favourite thing to shop for at craft and artisan shows? I’m really excited to be a vendor at the Cheerfully Made show just three days from now! Hopefully, I will see some of you there. Come stop by my booth on Saturday and say hi!
