Are you looking for a sweet and simple idea for a Valentine’s Day tablescape? I enjoy decorating for Valentine’s day, and since I’m not really a fan of red in my own home, I gravitate towards pink. Sometimes it’s a bold shade of pink and other years it’s the palest blush pink. One thing I’ve learned is that you don’t need a lot of pink to make an impact. In this pretty pink Valentine’s Day tablescape post, I will share with you my sources for creating this tablescape and some simple instructions.

Inspiration
In addition to the pink Valentine’s Day theme, I wanted to incorporate some French Country theming. Our dining room chairs are French-style chairs (click here to see my review of these Restoration Hardware chairs). The French Country accents I included are the linen tablecloth, scalloped white plates, the Fleur de Lis mini birdcages, the ticking stripe napkins, the pink macarons, and the Paris postcard. The colour scheme for the space is all neutral with just a few touches of green and pink.
Tablecloth
I chose a simple linen tablecloth that I love because it consists of a subtle woven stripe in shades of white and pale grey. The simplicity allows the rest of the tablescape to stand out. It also covers up our dark wood table that doesn’t really complement the French Country theming.

Centerpiece
The centerpiece consists of two faux seeded eucalyptus garlands. On top of the garlands, I added two shades of faux pink flowers. I separated them into individual stems and interspersed them evenly. That’s it- it took less than 10 minutes to arrange. I love that I can simply change the colour of the flowers to change the look for the season. The pink flowers are the essential ingredient in this pretty pink Valentine’s Day tablescape.

Place Settings
I started with a white scalloped dinner plate, layered a grey and white ticking stripe napkin on top, added a scalloped grey luncheon plate and scalloped white bread plate, then topped it all with a mini decorative birdcage encompassing two pink macarons. I hope you have enjoyed reading about how I created this pretty pink Valentine’s Day tablescape. I think it’s simple, elegant, French Inspired, and fun. This would be the perfect setting for a Galentine’s Day brunch (with your best gal pals!) or for a family Valentine’s dinner. Now, I just need to round up some delicious food to accompany this tablescape.
