I say this every year and I still believe it- Easter is one of my very favourite times of the year to decorate for. I love the sweet, soft colours, cute bunnies, and the promise of spring to come after a long winter. This year, I wanted to create a pretty spring tablescape that would be equally suitable for an Easter brunch with friends or Easter dinner with the whole family. The individual components are easy to gather and place on the table and you can easily make substitutions based on what you have. In this post, The Prettiest Spring Tablescape for your Easter Gathering, I share all my decor sources and show you how to create this light and fresh tablescape.

Inspiration
Each and every one of my tablescapes originates from an idea or source of inspiration. For this year’s Easter tablescape, I was inspired by the beautiful striped table linens I found from Solino Home and by spring flowers and terra cotta pots. I knew I wanted a neutral tablescape with a few pops of green from some spring potted plants. The look is light and airy and natural.

Table Linens
The beautiful white and beige striped tablecloth sets the tone for the tablescape. The tablecloth is the Narrow Stripe Linen Tablecloth from Solino Home. I chose matching napkins and the Medium Weight Hemstitch Placemats in the natural colour also from Solino Home. These are made of pure linen and have a really luxurious yet grounded and natural feel. I think the striped tablecloth works really well with our Restoration Hardware cane back chairs which are also upholstered in a natural beige linen fabric. If you’re interested in these chairs, you can read my unsponsored honest review here.
The natural beige placemats contrast nicely with the lighter tablecloth and define each diner’s spot on the table. The hemstitch detail is really pretty and adds a sense of luxury to the table.
I decided to do something a little different with the striped napkins. I used this video tutorial to fold these napkins into this cute bunny ear design, then I tied them with twine for an added natural touch. The stipes create a really neat visual effect on the inside of the bunny ears. You can display these on the plates either flat, for a more elegant look, or standing up, for a more playful look.
Dinnerware and Place Settings
Since the table linens set the tone for the tablescape as light and airy, refined, and natural, I decided to go with white scalloped edge plates. I stacked a salad plate on top of a dinner plate and topped it all with the folded bunny napkins.
I used lovely crystal goblets and gold cutlery for a little sparkle. The look is simple and will allow the food to really stand out.
Centerpeice
Using potted plants for a centerpiece is an economical and long-lasting option. I used two types of plants as the basis for my centerpiece. Pots of hyacinth give height to the table and the smaller Pilea Aquamarine plants in whitewashed terra cotta pots add a whimsical, romantic touch.
For the very center of the table, I added a woven bunny basket that I purchased from Pier 1 Imports many years ago. I filled it with some painted Easter eggs and surrounded it with ceramic decorative eggs that I found at Homesense this week.
A ceramic bunny (from Homesense) found a place at the table too! The gold accents on the bunny tie in nicely with the gold cutlery. The bunny-theming at the table is meant to be somewhat subtle and elegant, with the bunny basket, ceramic bunny, and bunny ear napkins.
