This fall, I’m really feeling the warm neutral tones, from beige to caramel to rust to rich brown. I’ve used these colours throughout our home to create a warm and inviting space that still feels open and airy. In my post, Warm Neutrals Cozy Fall Home Tour, I’m taking you on a tour of all the main spaces in our home. I’ll show you the front entry, living room, dining room, kitchen, family room, and Master bedroom. This post is part of a fall home tour organized by Kelly from The Tattered Pew. If you are coming here from Midwest Life and Style, I hope you enjoyed Jen’s beautiful navy and neutral tour.

Warm Neutrals Cozy Fall Home Tour
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you’ll know that I love decorating. Also, that fall is my favourite season! So, naturally, decorating for fall is one of my favourite activities. My personal style is simple and fresh, with a neutral backdrop of white and light beige. The colour palette for this home tour was inspired by the colours of fall baking spices and ingredients. Think nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, and roasted pumpkin. These colours are just as warm and inviting as the baked good they infuse.
Front Porch
For the front porch, I used mostly white, grey, green, and beige. I added just a few touches of muted orange in the fall mums, raffia pumpkin, and one of my wreaths. You can read about my mostly neutral fall front porch in more detail here. As with all neutral decor, I tried to use a variety of materials and textures to add interest and depth. The raffia pumpkins, baskets, and scattered faux oak leaves reinforce the warm neutral theme.
Hallway
I added a few simple neutral touches to our main hallway. I love using mini pumpkins in neutral shades throughout our home for fall. In addition, I added some faux eucalyptus and cream grasses to add a natural element to this little vignette. The grasses add height to the arrangement and add that tactile sense. The basket and natural wood drawer front have those cozy warm tones characteristic of my fall decor.
Living Room
Our living room has a backdrop of light neutrals. This includes our walls painted in Benjamin Moore Classic Grey and the natural linen upholstery on our antique sofa. Our rug is comprised of all my favourite fall spice colours- cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and allspice. I used pillows in neutral beige and cream with a couple of rust-coloured ones to add contrast.
The floral arrangement on the coffee table is mostly comprised of light neutrals and green. Of course, I added the basket and amber glass candle for warmth.
The piano is simply adorned with vases filled with fall stems. Also, I couldn’t resist adding more white mini pumpkins. Finally, I added a simple black and white clock.
I kept the loveseat in front of the window pretty simple, with just a few neutral pillows and a gold-toned reading lamp. Our Monstera plant continues to take over our home.
Dining Room
I used a little more colour in our dining room after seeing the beautiful pumpkin plates and platter from Bico Ceramics. I added the water hyacinth chargers and napkin rings for textural interest and warmth. The gold napkins (curry spice colour perhaps) from Not Perfect Linen and fluffy hydrangeas were added for colour. To keep the look light, I used a neutral linen tablecloth from Cozy Linen, simple white chargers under the pumpkin plates, and a mostly white centerpiece of white sunflowers and mini pumpkins.
My little tea cart is styled with a white carved wood pumpkin, a welcome fall sign, and a vase of woodsy oak leaves.
Kitchen
I always keep the kitchen fairly clutter-free but wanted to add a few warm touches to invite guests and my children to sit and linger. The tiered tray is filled with white and black pumpkins, more oak leaves, and amber glass bottles. A cozy knitted blanket adorns the nearest barstool. Finally, I added a large demijohn filled with faux oak leaf branches.
I used white and beige tea towels and placed a small tray with a bronzed ceramic vessel full of wooden spoons on the counter.
Family Room
I used mostly neutrals in our family room but added a couple of blue accents to play up the blue-grey shiplap fireplace treatment. This adds an interesting contrast to the gold mirror and warm neutral tones. I carried the white sunflowers and oak leaves into the family room decor for whole-home continuity. In addition, I added a couple of pieces of fall-themed wall art- the framed floral print on the mantle, and the rustic wood sign under the open shelves. Finally, I scatted a few neutral-toned pumpkins on the mantle, shelves, and side tables.
The fabric pumpkins in linen and cotton are all handmade by me and can be purchased in my Etsy Shop, Willow Bloom Market.
Master Bedroom
After a busy day, especially one where I’ve been outside in the cool fall days, I retreat to the bedroom for an early bedtime. It’s time to recharge by reading a book or magazine or chatting with a friend on the phone. I add more layers to the bed in fall and add a few accents that create that cozy feeling.
These signs by KT Inspired Home are so beautiful against the shiplap, I don’t ever want to change them.
I recently added this bold framed print from Desenio to the bedroom and I love how creates visual balance with the black book cabinet on the opposite side of the bed.
I added several of my handmade linen pumpkins to the green dresser. You can read about how I transformed an old dresser here.
